It’s tme to learn about the animal kingdom in a very silly way! That’s what’s bound to happen when you mix and match the animal flashcards found in Critteroos. Mix an emu with a camel, or a cow with a leopard. There are more than 1,000 possible combinations. Swipe along the top or bottom of the screen to change the top or bottom of the animal flashcards. One tap on the screen will reveal the animal’s names. When you think you’ve matched a top and bottom correctly you can double tap on the screen. Critteroos will track the number of correct matches you make. If you come up with a particularly crazy match of your own you can name it and then save it to your iPhone’s photo library.
In addition to the Mix and Match activity Critteroos has a more standard set of flashcards. You can swipe through these flashcards and see and hear the animal’s names. The auto narration is available in both English and Spanish with French and Mandarin upgrades available for purchase.
I like the fact that Critteroos uses real photographs of animals. The app uses a nice variety of animals, it’s educational and it mixes in a healthy dose of silliness.
*This is a universal app.
